This page is in memory of my Dad, who passed away in 2019 at the age of 77.
Dad loved photography. I remember at an early age watching him develop pictures in his dark room. At first, the Dark Room was our downstairs bathroom. Later on after we built the addition to the house, he had a dedicated dark room off his study in the basement. It was amazing to watch the images suddenly appear on a blank sheet of paper as the Developer did its work.
Later on, Dad got a digital camera and moved on to learning Photoshop, which kept him busy for hours perfecting pictures. Sometimes it was pictures of Mom's school kids when she was still teaching, or it might be pictures from a family fishing trip, or just photos of the wildlife and birds around the house in East Wilton, Maine.
I didn't start taking pictures until after college when Mom & Dad finally bought me a camera one Christmas when I was living in Pennsylvania, but after that, I would share my best shots with Dad. He would always enjoy looking at them, would occasionally tinker then them in Photoshop and sometimes hang the best ones on the wall.
Dad isn't around anymore to show him the pictures, but I still imagine if I post some on the Internet, he might find a way to see them. At the same time, other Dads out there can enjoy them, as well.
